Tony Winston has been teaching classical piano to young people for twenty years and has a roster of over 30 students. He also teaches jazz, pop and a 'garage band' class which gives his students ensemble experience and exposure to drums, bass, electronic keyboards and other instruments.
Tony studies classical music with renowned instructor Lois Finlay who has taught many competition winners and earned a masters degree from Juilliard. He was the graduation director with the Atlanta Area Suzuki Piano Association for six years before beginning his own program in 2013. Tony Winston has been a professional pianist and vocalist since his late teens.
Since moving to Atlanta, Mr. Winston has been a major presence in the Atlanta jazz scene. As a soloist, and with his trio and band, he has been heard in most all of the venues throughout the city. As a well-respected vocalist, he has performed with numerous ensembles and jazz performers throughout the south. Tony's band - the Mondo Band has performed for corporate functions, weddings and private events since 1999. The Mondo Band is going strong as of 2015.
